Let's say that Donald Trump put a $5,000,000.00 check in your pocket without you knowing it. For a whole week you walk around with it in your pocket, but you still think you are dirt dog poor...and you are! So then you find the check...how stupid would it be to not deposit the check and continue to walk around saying how dirt dog poor you are! Worse still is if you deposit the check and the money is in your account and you STILL are all depressed about your financial situation.
